Chinese Journal of Cancer Recruits Part-time English Biomedical Editors/Translators

Chinese Journal of Cancer (CJC) has been published by Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center since 1982, and is one of the leading journals in cancer research in China . CJC is included in Chinese Sci-tech Core Periodicals and Chinese Biomedical Core Periodicals. Starting from 2002, CJC has been indexed in MEDLINE. With the rapid development of CJC, we urgently need qualified part-time English Biomedical editors/translators to meet our increasing demands.

Job requirements

1. Ph. D (including Ph. D candidates) in basic biomedical sciences or M.D.;
2. Experienced in writing and publishing English biomedical papers (preferably published in SCI/SCIE included journals);

3. Capable of translating at least one Chinese article (~ 4000 Chinese characters) into English within one week independently.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Translate Chinese articles into English;

2. Edit English articles.

Compensations

1. Translation: you will be offered RMB 100/1000 Chinese characters; a bonus of RMB 100/ 1000 Chinese characters will be paid if your work is recognized to reach a high standard of excellence;

2. Editing: you will be offered RMB 80/paper; a bonus of RMB 20/paper will be paid if your work is recognized to reach a high standard of excellence;

3. The approximate compensation for translating a Chinese article (~4000 words) into English plus editing is RMB 720-1200.

4. We would invite excellent translators/editors to join our editorial office.
