Every year, more than 8 million people die from cancer worldwide and the majority of them are actually killed by cancer metastasis. Current knowledge of cancer metastasis is limited. Many questions remain unanswered. With the help of high through-put technologies plus big data analyses, we are hoping to accelerate our endeavors in unveiling cancer metastasis. The cover art shows an HE stained image of a metastatic lymph node in a mouse model carrying human xenograft tumor. Interestingly and accidentally, the metastatic tissue in this section looks like a question mark. Ten key questions among the 150 most important questions in cancer research and clinical oncology are presented on pages 165-171 of this CJC issue.
